Dr. Colleen Marion
  • I strive to provide my animal patients and their owners with compassionate quality service in an environment that minimizes the stress animals may experience in a veterinary clinic setting. I hope to provide animal owners with personalized service that does not feel rushed, fosters open communication, and respects the special bond that we as humans share with our family pets.
  • I graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, in 1999.
I have 20+ years experience developing my skills as a companion animal veterinarian, working with animals in various settings including: emergency medicine, private companion animal veterinary practices, animal shelters and rescues, veterinary medicine specific to animal abuse and neglect.
  • I am a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (member of their animal welfare committee), the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association (past president, member of their animal welfare committee), and the National Center for the Prosecution of Animal Cruelty.
  • I volunteer as a veterinarian to provide care to sled dog athletes, ensuring they are healthy to compete in races, and providing them with veterinary care if they become ill or injured while on the trail.
  • I have a special interest in animal welfare, providing assistance to animals that have been neglected and abused.
  • I share my home with 2 cats and 2 dogs.
  • When not on the job at Clover Veterinary Care I enjoy taking part in dog-friendly activities including cross country skiing, kayaking or paddle boarding with my dogs Halley and Lilly, gardening where Halley guards our crop from wildlife, and cooking where both Halley and Lilly are always willing to volunteer their time as taste-testers.
